If you’re looking for hot buns this summer, you won’t find them at the beach! 4food’s culinary dynamic duo Vincent Mangual and DeVonna Cayson are rolling out housemade Brioche and Honey Whole Wheat buns to chaperone their signature (W)holeburger patties. Organic flour and cage-free eggs are a couple of the very few ingredients it takes to produce a batch of these buns, each one hand shaped and possessing unique artisanal characteristics. The ubiquitous Brioche takes the shape of a 1950’s flying saucer, leaving out the filler carbs of a traditional bowler shaped bun, and leaving in room for the bold flavor of 4food Veggiescoops and (W)holeburger toppings. The Honey Whole Wheat substitutes a majority portion of organic white flour for organic whole wheat, and is then lightly kissed (a touch of honey) and topped with rolled oats, flax, and pumpkin seeds.  When asked why the change in bread, “Our guests have been asking us for a more substantial bun, and we wanted to give it to them while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of our (W)holeburger”, replied Pastry Chef Cayson. “We want to stay true to the shape and portion size of our burger without comprising taste or quality”. 4food buns are hand-rolled every day and use less than ten ingredients, none of which are preservatives, chemical leaveners, or artificial colors or flavors. Sitting pretty at 168 calories and 2.5 grams of fat per serving, the new Brioche bun is significantly healthier than a typical Brioche hamburger roll (based on a single serving of the Fresh Direct Brioche Hamburger Bun) that contains 230 calories and 7 grams of fat. It’s safe to say that these buns are worth checking out up close and in person!

ANGELA1126'S Multigrain-Veggie-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Lettuce-Tomato-Barbeque-Hummus Angela's Veggie 2 tops the chart this week at #1, hookin and jabbin its way past  JANINEDM'S Burger De La Hoya who is starting the week against the ropes at the #2 spot. At #3 treads JFAVUZZA'S Better Turkey Burger - is this the week it makes its move up again, or will GETTODOG81’S pumpi-triple-condi Awesome lamb burger supreme combination of Pumpernickel-Lamb-Avocado & Chili Mango-Pancetta Bacon-Bleu Cheese-Lettuce-Onion-Pickle-Tomato-Garlic Mayonnaise-Horseradish Cream-Ketchup at #4 send them all packing. The ever faithful mainstay CaliBurger continues to hang around like a wall flower at the #5 prom. IAMTHEMATT’S Summer Sandwich is a new entry at #6, yet with Fall around the corner it needs to make its move before the sun sets on August, as it is tied in unit sales with NEWMANRA’S legendary Cali4nication at #7, a 1359 unit selling platinum hit. Two more newcomers to the chart, SHORVATH’S Multigrain-Turkey-Mofongo-Pancetta Bacon-Cheddar-Lettuce-Onion-Horseradish Cream-Hummus The Suzy Q’usie at #8 and MICHSY’S ever-so-pricy Brioche-Lamb-Roasted Brussels-Caramelized Apple-Bleu Cheese-Cranberry-Guacamole-Horseradish Cream Candy Apple Bleu Lamburger at #9, give lots and lots of flavor to the up and coming. Finishing off a chart where Turkey and Veggie showed their hot weather preference, neck and neck and Lamb for Beef are MGR Lamb Burger at the #9 spot as it limps ahead in sales revenues of MSHEPPARD'S better blues burger at #10.
