4FOOD NAMES FIRST 12 CONTRIBUTING ORGANIZATIONS TO THE GREEN CHART

The 4food Green Chart is a sustainable initiative, launching Tuesday May 8th, that enables non-profit participating organizations such as New York Coalition for Healthy School Food, YOUTH BUILD, Sustainable South Bronx, NW Bronx Community Clergy Coalition, BOEDC (GJGNY CBO), Thinking Animal, Green Bronx Machine, Green Map System, Association of Women’s Construction Workers of America, RUPCO/WRO, Energy Info Tech NYC, and Center for Sustainable Energy to raise funds for their programs by creating, naming, and marketing branded burgers to their communities and members as well as 4foodies, using Facebook and Twitter and 4food’s proprietary social tools, earning a $1 “royalty” for each burger sold.

ON THE CHART/CHARTBEAT: BUN Diversity takes a BEATING!
JFAVUZZA’S Multigrain-Turkey-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Goat Cheese-Lettuce-Pickles-Hummus-Tzatziki Better Turkey Burger remained undisputed champion of the de-junked planet, snatching 24% of all chart sales and retaining the #1 spot for the third straight week from the Golden State cousins; AHARRIS’S CaliBurger which powers up from #4 to #2 on a 25% increase in sales, and NEWMANRA’S Cali4nication which rides a breathtaking 114% increase in sales to climb from #7 to #3 in the rankings, tied in sales but a few dollars short of CaliBurger (Did Randall return from Westport to midtown with an army, or did his build find new fans?).  Angela’s Veggie, by ANGELA1126, takes one on the chin to #4 but bests JANINEDM’S Burger De La Hoya at #5. Talking pugilists - did you see the fight? Cotto gave, but he didn’t have enough for Mayweather - does anybody! Fact is that there’s Cotto good and then there’s Better Turkey Burger/CaliBurger/Mayweather great. #winning burger, ANTYSON’S ode to “his messiness” Charlie Sheen, retraces its steps back to #6 where it has languished all spring, a few points ahead of RODGERSMG’S MGR Lamb Burger which re-enters the chart at #7. Inexplicably, ETHIKUS’S Shop Your Values Week Burger takes a main event hit from #2 to #8 (Shop Your Values Week runs May 3rd through May 10th so come on 4foodies and eat your values), dragging Brioche down 15.5 points of share and contributing to Multigrain’s dominance - which gloved 70% of charted burgers sold this week, pushing Pressed Rice and Pumpernickel out of contention altogether. Two new entries fill out the rankings: Peter Furman at #9, by pafurman, is a Brioche-Baked Egg-Avocado & Chili Mango-Pickled Daikon-Manchego-Guacamole successor to last week’s flash-in-the-pan Southern Brunch; and one piece of advice for JPerron, the creator of Turkey and Bacon at #10 - add “better” to the name if you want to shift product!
