4FOOD LAUNCHES THE “GREEN CHART”

To recognize Earth Month, raise funds for local green pro-social organizations, to further our mission to de-junk fast food, and to leverage the extraordinary success of the Buildboard Chart, we have invited a number of Gotham’s leading Green organizations to create, name, and market branded (W)holeburgers. These GreenBurgers will first be offered for sale on Tuesday May 8th, and the chart will be published every Tuesday from May 15th, 2012. “Royalties” of $1.00 per GreenBurger sold will be paid to participating organizations monthly. Organizations with federal 501(c) status or pending 501(c) status are eligible for the program.  Please contact Osiris James of UrbanGoGreen at osiris@urbangogreen.com to participate.

ON THE CHART / CHARTBEAT

JFAVUZZA’S Multigrain-Turkey-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Goat Cheese-Lettuce-Pickles-Hummus-Tzatziki Better Turkey Burger retakes the #1 spot from AHARRIS’S CaliBurger thanks to a 29% increase in sales.  JANINEDM’S Burger De La Hoya and NEWMANRA’S Cali4nication swap #3 and #4 with the pugilist coming out on top. #winning burger, ANTYSON’S eulogy to “his messiness” Charlie Sheen, creeps up to #5 after a residency at #6, ending the week just $4 ahead of Angela’s Veggie by Angela1126 which is our “greatest gainer” with a 100% increase in sales.  SHASHIFERNANDO’S Multigrain-Beef-Mushroom & Onions-Pancetta Bacon-Cheddar-Lettuce-Onion-Tomato-Cranberry Kitten Burger is the highest charting of 5 new entries at #7, helping to raise Multigrain’s share to an unprecedented 61% of chart sales, and providing comfort for its creator who left his hound in blighty! peter.damato’S Brioche-Veggie-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Lettuce-Onion-Tomato-Chipotle Pepper Yumyumyumyumyum Burger boogies into contention at #8, helping to boost Veggie’s market share 36%. There are a (W)hole lot of burgers (5) tied at #9, though Nkbailly’S Lambushroomionion with cheese, boasting the longest word in any name in chart history, drove the highest revenues and wins the tiebreak from  RODGERSMG’S rebounding MGR Lamb Burger and Lucy's Love by IHende2001, which takes a dive from #5. Also at #9 is ADTHELAD’S Monster Veggie, though its short chart run is certain to come to a premature end - a consequence of our bait and scoop switch from Edamame & Sea Salt to Sugar Snap Peas. Finally there are two more new entries; King of shanghai by Kevinjxj, which is doing wonderful things for the influence of Pressed Rice and Pork, and Ooh-la-la by Aaron, yet another Pumpernickel sandwiched build seeking glory!
