BREAKING DOWN THE BUILDBOARD CHART:

Every so often we like to break down the BuildBoard Chart so that 4foodies can get a feel 4food trends, and values.  This week’s chart has the mighty two patties - Beef and Turkey - a hoof apart with 30.8% and 29.8% chart shares respectively, followed by Veggie with 21.2%, Lamb with 11.5%, and Salmon with 6.7%. When it comes to buns, Multigrain dominates, sandwiching 54.8% of BuildBoard Chart sales, trailed by Brioche with 30.8%, and Pressed Rice - the rims of choice for a surprising 14.4% of the Top 10’s sales. Spinach & Garlic is the scoop of choice, stuffing an astonishing 41.3% of charted burgers’ patty holes. Who could have predicted that Manchego would be our best-selling cheese responsible with a 34.5% share? The average price of a charted (W)holeburger is $7.05, with a low of $6.50, a high of $9.50, and a median price of $7.00.

ON THE Chart/Chartbeat:

JFAVUZZA’S Multigrain-Turkey-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Goat Cheese-Lettuce-Pickles-Hummus-Tzatziki Better Turkey Burger retains the number #1 spot, and with 219 sold in 10 weeks is now the fastest selling user-built burger in BuildBoard Chart history. AHARRIS’S CaliBurger, which with 1551 sales to date is the best-selling user-built (W)holeburger ever, treads water at #2, followed by NEWMANRA’S Cali4nication and Angela’s Veggie by ANGELA1126 which are tied up at #3. RODGERSMG’S MGR Lamb Burger back peddles from #3 to #5 as its platinum buzz fades. ANTYSON’S eulogy to “his messiness” Charlie Sheen #winning burger and ERICA’S autobiographical Erica take #6 and #7 respectively for the third straight week, followed by 3 neatly pressed-rice contenders - MMONTALBAN’S brilliantly branded “tell it like it is” future hall of famer Salmon Rissotto at #8, and tied at #9 two new entries by the glory-seeking chart rookie MAGESS, the understated Pressed Rice-Beef-Hard Boiled Egg-Mozzarella-Lettuce-Chutney Madison, and a variation on that same theme, the Pressed Rice-Beef-Veggie Chili-Fried Egg-Lettuce-Teriyaki Loco Moco.
