(RE) MEATLESS MONDAYS

Why Meatless?
Yup, we have finally completely lost it, becoming the first burger joint in the universe to support former ad man turned de-junking advocate Sid Lerner’s Meatless Monday public health awareness campaign to tackle excessive meat consumption and the preventable illnesses it causes.
The initiative (a riff on the World War I “Food Will Win the War” government proclaimed “Meatless Monday” and “Wheatless Wednesday” theme) is backed by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Center for a Livable Future and endorsed by 30 schools of public health.
Why Monday?
Going meatless on Monday starts the week off right, and if this Monday passes you by, next week is another chance to go meatless!

ON THE CHART/CHARTBEAT: angietime
After last week’s great leap forward, the BuildBoard Chart took a breather, with sales dropping back 6%. #1 and #2 flip-flopped for the 3rd time in as many weeks, as JFAVUZZA’S Multigrain-Turkey-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Goat Cheese-Lettuce-Pickle-Hummus-Tzatziki Better Turkey Burger beat out AHARRIS’S bestselling CaliBurger by a squeaky beak. JANINEDM’S beefy pugilist Burger De La Hoya extends its recent run, stutter-stepping its way up a place on all three scorecards to #3 (yes, “even a blind man can tell” that Pacquiao was robbed). The big story this week is as she was last week, Angela1126, who has successfully replaced her out-of-stock mega-hit Angela’s Veggie with not one but two new builds - the Multigrain-Veggie-Spinach & Garlic-Avocado-Lettuce-Tomato-Barbeque-Hummus Angela’s Veggie 2 at #4, and the Multigrain-Veggie-Roasted Brussels-Cheddar-Lettuce-Tomato-Garlic Mayonnaise-Mustard Angela’s Veggie 3 at #9. In doing so the “Princess of De-Junking” has doubled veggies share to 17.4% of total chart sales, and helped make Multigrain the glove of choice for an unprecedented and diversity destroying 82.6% of the Top-10 (W)holeburgers. BREADSTICK’S lean, 310 calorie Multigrain-Turkey-Mushroom & Onions-Shiitake Mushroom-Lettuce-Teriyaki Samurai Turkey Burger at #5 is the second highest charting new entry this week.  This Pan Asian warrior is mushrooming magnificently and looks to have the legs to make a run at Better Turkey Burger, but looks alone do not guarantee BuildBoard Chart success - BREADSTICK, you have got to go tweet for it! RODGERSMG’S MGR Lamb Burger leads a bevy of 3 (W)holeburgers tied at #6, but bests both MANGOMIKE’S free-falling Don't Tango w/ the Mango Burger and NEWMANRA’S Cali4nication when gross revenues are factored in. Tucked in behind Angela’s Veggie 3 at #10 are MANGODONNA’S Cardioburger, and the final of this week’s new entries, MATT ‘I’M BACK’ SHEPPARD’S Multigrain-Beef-Chipotle Hominy-Pancetta Bacon-Cheddar-Barbeque better blues burger.
