On Wednesday, June 29th, 2011 between 5PM and 7PM 4food will be hosting a GoldBurger Certification Celebration at 4food Madison Avenue. The event honors 3 user-builds with more than 500 sales since 4food launched in the fall of 2010: the Caliburger, Cali4nication, and MGR Lamb.
As well as the presentation of the 3 GoldBurger Awards, the certification event will feature a “build-off” contest between the 3 GoldBurger inventors to create a follow up hit. The event will be judged by an expert panel, and the winner will receive their winning build (and a beverage) for free every day for a month.
All 4foodies in attendance will be entitled to unlimited free dessert! (with the purchase of any (W)holeburger, Skewer, Rice or Salad Bowl)
Michael Shuman, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 4food, said of the Certification Event:
“According to CNN there are 96 billion ways to create a burger at 4food. By our own calculations there are a more modest 141,000,000 ways of differentiating your build. Since we opened last fall our guests have tried 20,000 of them, including burgers celebrating Charlie Sheen, Libyan Democracy, The Bed Intruder, and Facebook. The 3 GoldBurgers are the most successful of the user-builds because their creators have marketed them hard using Facebook, Twitter, 4food’s internal tools, as well as dragging their friends, family, and co-workers to the store to earn 4food cash - in doing so they have helped us spread our De-junking mission. Thank you!”

Newmanra strikes back WITH VENGEANCE
Dunno if it was the newmanra’s broadcast debut on the Canadian Food Network or the social marketing performance of a generation but his Multigrain bun’d - Turkey patty’d - Spinach & Pine Nut scoop’d - Avocado slice’d - Manchego cheese’d - Hummus/Sweet Chili condiment’d - and Onion added-on GoldBurger Cali4nication bounced back from #2 position to rout aharris’ Brioche-Beef-Avocado & Chili Mango-Avocado-Manchego-Lettuce-Tomato-Dijon Mustard GoldBurger the Caliburger.
Incredibly Cali4nication was by itself responsible for 23.23% of sales on this week’s Buildboard chart, selling 50% more than its Golden State nemesis. Things seem to be getting tougher every week for our third GoldBurger, rodgersmg’s MGR Lamb, which drops another place to #5, under pressure from pvanessche’s leggy Lamb of God.
